Back in late 2009, a document leak about HTC’s 2010 lineup and displayed eight new mobile phones from the successful Taiwanese manufacturer. The list held five high-end Android smart phones and three interesting WinMo devices.

Leading the lineup of devices is the HTC Bravo with its super-high specs and features; many quickly saw the great potential the device had. At that point, only Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X10 was the only Snapdragon Android that’s confirmed for launch. The Bravo will come with a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen, a 1400 mAh battery and a 5 mega pixel camera with 720p HD video capture.

If those specs sound similar, it is because the Google phone which HTC also made for Google, shares very similar specs. With the exception of the 720p HD video recording capability, the two phones are pretty much on par in terms of hardware.

But to say that the Nexus would be re-launched as the Bravo is still a bit too much of an assumption since if the leak of the Bravo and the other devices out by late 2009, the phone would have been in development at the same time as the Nexus One.

Anyway, this gives HTC with two high end Android smart phones before the end of 2010. The Bravo was originally slated for a Q2 release date, but according to recent reports from 3 Sweden, the device might launch as early as this coming March.

With rumors of the new iPhone 4G being this April and the disappointing sales performance of the Nexus One (a combination of the lack of availability as the device is only accessible through the Google store and the many bugs that are present in the software); there is high hopes that the Bravo will capitalize on the problems that plague the Google Phone.
