The HTC HD2 is considered to be one of the more desirable mobile phones due to hit the shelves before the end of this year running under the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. It is likely to arrive in stores all over the world very soon, and details have finally come to light regarding the price tag in the UK.

Before now the mobile phone manufacturer HTC hadn’t revealed any official details surrounding the top end handset’s cost, although it has already been made available for pre order on a number of different websites; one of which is a reseller for O2. On this particular website the HTC HD2 has a number of plan choices available, and handset price tags ranging from free all the way up to £259.99.

If you are looking to get the HTC HD2 free you will need to sign a contract locking you in for the price of £40 per month, which will include 1,200 minutes and unlimited text messaging, along with a few other nice little perks. The most expensive handset cost of £259.99 is for those of you who only want to opt in for the £15 per month contract.

The length of the plans ranges from 18 up to 24 months, with no 12 month option available. According to the website the best deal for the HTC HD2 mobile phone is to buy it for £99 and sign up for a £25 per month contract which will include 600 minutes as well as unlimited text messages.

These prices were pretty much in line with what most of the mobile community was expecting, although I would have been pleased to see the handset for free on something lower than £40 per month.
