If a smartphone offers remarkable ease of use and can assist you with a multitude of tasks, wouldn’t you want that mobile device for yourself? And if it comes with a consumer-friendly price tag, all the more reason to not let it out of your sight. The Samsung Omnia Lite B7300 is just the phone that I am talking about. Don’t be misled by the “lite” label as this phone is rich in features that even an enterprise user will enjoy.
Why Lite?
I believe Samsung chose to name it “Lite” because the device offers trouble-free navigation what with the venerated TouchWiz 2.0 UI, widget and 3D technologies that the Omnia Lite comes with. Users in search for a mobile with delightful entertainment elements will do very well to purchase this phone.
3D Cube
The Omnia Lite boasts of a 3D Cube that provides a rather enjoyable and convenient way of accessing multimedia functions. Users can flip through the cube to find the media applications they are searching for. Speaking of multimedia, the Omnia Lite is equipped with a music and video player that is compatible with a wide range of multimedia codes such as MP3, Xvid, MPEG4 just to mentions a few. The camera is of 3MP variety and is fitted with autofocus and smile detection for better quality images.
Web Performance
Internet browsing is fully supported on this device as it is equipped with 3G as well as WiFi support. The Opera browser offers quick and pleasing surfing experience. Push e-mail capability is a feature that enterprise users might like.
Being a mid-level phone, Samsung didn’t outfit the Omnia Lite with an AMOLED screen (unlike the Omnia 2 I8000) but the resistive TFT display should still offer good quality views. Along with another Omnia phone, the Omnia Pro B7610, the Omnia Lite should be available to the public before the end of the year. Pricing will most likely be around €300 to €400.
