For anyone outside of the United States, getting the Nexus One is a little difficult and pricey due to the fact that the only way to get the phone is through the official Google store. While Google has fully explained their reasons for choosing this method when they launched the device last January 5, it still leaves many other prospective buyers waiting for a way to get the device through other means.

Anyway, getting the device locally in the UK is going to be a lot easier once the Nexus One is finally subsidized by Vodafone. No pricing rates have been given but it would certainly be much cheaper than having to pay for the shipping cost and the extra UK adaptor.

Vodafone has already set up an FAQ page on the Nexus One for those planning to get the device through them. While it has already been announced that the device will finally be available on March 2010; a Vodafone spokesperson has said that it will only be a few short weeks before Vodafone has the phone available.

Recent reports have also confirmed that Vodafone will not be the only company to be offering the Nexus One. 3 and T-Mobile UK have announced that they are already having talks with Google and they will also be offering the device –though not as early as Vodafone.

Sporting a 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen interface, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU and a 5 mega pixel snapper, the Nexus’ hardware is pretty high end, placing it at the same rank with the upcoming Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and the HTC Bravo.

The HTC Nexus One is being labeled as the iPhone killer and with its impressive hardware, features and the Android operating system it certainly has the specs to outdo the Apple handset. As for sales, the iPhone still has an advantage due to its retail availability while the Nexus One has limited sales channels.
