Nokia has today announced the launch of the highly anticipated handset, the Nokia E72. This new phone is made available with a QWERTY keyboard and is mainly targeted towards the business class. Company believes that this keyboard will serve both messaging enthusiasts and business users perfectly.
This new phone builds on the E71’s success and sports the desktop-like email abilities found on the earlier phone. It also has IM support, A-GPS navigation features and recent version of Ovi Maps. You are also going to get a 5-megapixel camera with the phone. Alongside the release of E72, Nokia also conducted a survey and released the data that were extracted from the research. This study concluded that most people prefer email communications to SMS and phone calls when using their phone.
Ukko Lappalainen, Vice President of Nokia, said, “The research revealed that we are giving almost 5 days (or 120 hours) every year responding to our emails. Almost 50 percent of the people in the survey have chosen email over Texts and Phone Calls for sending or receiving vital data. The New Nokia E72 has been designed exactly to meet the needs of such people. It permits owners to get more responsive and have communication in the manner they want.”
With Nokia E72, you get the Push Consumer Email Service of Nokia, Windows Live, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Nokia Messenger and Ovi Chat. This offers user the probability of mobilizing almost 10 personal email accounts to be linked with the phone. The 1500 mAh Lithium-ion battery of the E72 can deliver around 13 hours of talk time and almost 7 hours of standby time, when it is on GSM.
